21st birthday

21st birthday was a quiet one. very.
Was alone enjoying the night festival performances in the rain until later in the early morning before watching inception.
Down with fever and throat infection, coughing blood for a week.
Didn't really celebrate my birthday in Singapore because Taiwan was a treat for myself.
Pretty disappointed because something I was expecting to happen didn't. (not birthday cake or presents)

happening place and many more of which I simply cannot explain myself
because you have to be there to experience it.
The earthquake was a big surprise for me.

Now I'm missing the food in Taiwan, Fried oyster, big fried chicken and many more.
The shopping district which i've yet to explore. (time and money constraints)
beautiful scenery for me to photograph.
The shopping districts with brands that are not in Singapore.
Cheap and good food.

Large format photography

never did I ever think of getting in touch with large format photography.
Most of the time i only get to hear of it. Only had the chance to look at big prints from large format in he gallery.

And recently I got really lucky and manage to get a taste of it first hand of how it feels like with a full fledge photographer.
It's really a whole new experience for me. A refreshing knowledge for me in my photographic journey.
Large format is a really technical process. No mistakes allowed and satisfaction is assured at the end of the day.
Would love to be able to use this method for my work in the future if it's possible.

It's fascinating when you're in the midst of a train ride and suddenly a stranger standing in front of you starts to tear.
It happened to me earlier yesterday, a girl started tearing after looking at the phone. She looked straight at me and I didn't know what to do. I asked her if she's all right and gave her tissue before I alighted the train.
I don't know why but I'm still wondering what is the reason, probably a sweet valentine's day message or a break up message could be the reason for the tears.

I don't know.

Shanghai

Just got back home from Shanghai yesterday morning...
Really tired after all the waiting and traveling to the airport..
Shanghai is pretty boring to me i must say. There isn't much to do or see other than shopping and eating.
The stuffs there are quite expensive so the shopping experience isn't that great.
But it's a whole new experience for me.
Things like the way people live and communicate are all different.
The traffic there is scary cars do not give way even if we are in the right of way.
On the first night when i arrived in Shanghai, i really couldn't stand the extremely polluted air, the smell of carbon monoxide is really strong.
But there's one thing i like about Shanghai, the weather at night is so cooling and relaxing.
Other than Shanghai, i also went to SuZhou by the bullet train which was pretty fast and stable but the smell on board is horrible.
It is quite interesting to witness people quarrel and get into fights over queueing up to board the train at the station. To be honest it's actually quite entertaining to see how rude and loud the people can be. From a two person quarrel slowly transformed into a big group of fights and quarrel.

I bought quite a bit of things with are not available in Singapore.
I don't think i will go back to Shanghai again for holiday because there isn't much to do and not really good for photography.

watched a couple of movies lately. Quite satisfied with the movies i've watched so far. Valkyrie and PUSH are two of the good movies.
Valkyrie was a movie with unexpected ending, pretty tragical and touching.
PUSH is a movie which reminds me of fantastic 4 but in a more realistic way, not so much of a super hero crap and the psychic powers they have are convincing enough to exists in real life.
Really good story line, twists and turns throughout the film. But not much of exciting fight scenes as i expected and thats probably the only disappointing part of it all.
A movie worth watching if you're not a big fan of super heros.

i'm feeling really down lately, especially when i'm home the feeling gets worse. I feel pretty useless and sad because i'm almost 20 and i can't even provide for my parents.
My mother is working in some shitty company that really exploits their staffs. My mum isn't young anymore and it feels like fuck to know that my mum is enduring and working so hard just to earn that meagre amount of money.

"Role Model" Movie

Watched Role Model the movie a few days back a really nice and hilarious movie. I was pretty reluctant to watch it actually because i had no freaking idea what the movie was about. But after watching it i kind of like it because the movie is quite disturbing. Those kids in the movie has wicked characters so god damned disturbing. It's a show you should watch if you wanna laugh your ass off and relax.
There's one thing i feel very unfair about the movie rating in Singapore. This movie has lots of vulgarities and it's pretty sexual in the things they say and do plus there's quite a bit of nudity and it's rated NC16 but my movie which has totally no vulgarity nor sexual content was given a equal rating, how unfair. Probably a M18 rating for this movie is more appropriate.

I was so excited when i received news that the production stills i took for the movie "The Wedding Game" is being used and published in 8 Days megazine and the Straits Times.
I can't describe how i feel, the real sense of achievement once again!!! So damn satisfying.

It's the first day of school after such a long break, Well it's kind of sucky because all other classes had their lessons ended early except mine and i received a difficult homework as a form of greeting for coming back to school.
2D Studio Art is a fucking ridiculous subject, the materials i need to buy costs a bomb!!! all the materials i needed amounted up to $100.
I think i want to start learning how to steal from Art Friend really soon because i have no money to buy the material and the teacher warned us that we will be sent out of the class if we do not have the required materials.
After more than a month of not drawing anything, I completed a few drawings and to my surprise, the drawings turned out way better than before. I'm still thinking about how this is even possible. Today was the first time i ever heard my drawing lecturer actually said something good about my drawing after almost half a year in school.
Enough of school stuffs.

Had a great dinner with my fellow actor and then decided to catch Ong Bak 2.
The movie is simply exciting. This is one movie which kept me real tensed at every single fight scene.
The story line is quite special too i'd say.
Finally i managed to watch a movie that i have something nice to say about.
I realized that i spent a lot of money today which i'm not supposed to.
I seriously need a job real soon because i've yet to settle some stuffs which are quite urgent and i need lots of money to do so.

Memory Space Urgency

But all the trustworthy hard disks are so expensive. Well it's expensive because I haven't been working for a while so i don't have regular monthly income.

School is going to start in a few days time.
It's pretty fucked up because i can't wait to start school but i'm scared of school.
At the thought of having more core modules scares me.
The fact that i am having more drawing based modules really stresses me real bad.
Now i don't even dare to sign up for cross-disciplinary electives which i'm supposed to, because of the amount of core modules i have to handle.
Now i'm beginning to feel scared and sceptical about school and my results.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping that this will be a smooth sailing semester for me before i finish year 1.

I never expect to be able to find someone whom i met almost 10 years ago through Facebook (FB rocks).
Met up with her yesterday and we had a great time. So much to talk about after so many years. Had lunch, shopped, took prints and watched movie. That was one of my happiest day after all these while of stress and unhappiness.
It was great hanging out with you. Hope to see you end of this year or early next year again.

Broke holidays

Holidays are killing me. Without a job, constantly broke, I seriously need a change.
I seriously need a job to start off with. School's going to start real soon and that'll suck my pocket dry once again. I can't imagine what kind of materials i'll have to buy again.
Stupid ILUMA isn't opening soon so i'll probably be jobless until it opens. What a time to be jobless when i'm having my holidays.
I hope this year will be a better year for me financially and i want to have more achievements in my life.

SITEX

I found a temporary sales job at SITEX working for Multimedia Integrated promoting Apple Products for 4 full days.
I have no idea about the pay at all. I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping the pay will be good because I'm quite broke nowadays. All thanks to Anthony and Louis for this job opportunity.
Overall it's a great experience once again. Met lots and lots of different kind of people, mean, kind, well mannered, greedy and ETC. Saw lots of gorgeous girls too both working and customers. I simply detest customers who bargain and bargain non-stop.
I'm pretty surprised with the boss's attitude, they gave us no stress at all and a lot of freedom to do what we want as long as we serve our customers properly. I get to eat, smoke and rest anytime i want. There won't be people there to scold or order you around. All the seniors were there to provide help and advice to the part-timers.
Tiring 4 days of work really satisfy me to the max and now I'm going to get a good sleep.

Dior Jeans Sold

Sold my Dior Jeans since i can't wear it anymore after i slimmed down even more.
Got it close to $700 and sold it for $530. Quite sad to have to part with it, love that pair of denim, it's so detailed but there's no point in keeping it if i can't wear it.
With the money i got i went to buy a pair of KLIPSCH speakers for $250. The sound quality is bleeding good especially the bass. Sadly i found out the speakers weren't working properly and decided to refund it back for cash. I was quite angry with the Carrefour's policy of not allowing test for electronic appliances at the point of purchase.
The freaking box of speaker is almost 16KGs and i had to carry it to and from the shop which can get really tiring and so i decided to ask for a cash refund instead. I'll continue to hunt for other speakers meanwhile. Yesterday was a "DEFECTIVE" day indeed. My Fred Perry wallet was torn and i had to buy another one from Fred Perry because they have nice wallets. I bought a retro looking wallet again which costs me $69.
With the money back in my pocket, i went to shop today at Ann Siang Hill.
Got a pair of raw denim from APC at Frontrow for $295. Went on to Far East Plaza LeftFoot and bought a pair of VANS for $45 because it was on sale.

These few days were great shopping day for me.

Holidays finally!

Finally all the stress and hardwork is over.
Now it's time for me to enjoy before i start another round of struggling again, this time it's going to be tougher than ever. Sadly it's only the beginning for now. Jobless now temporarily, what a time to be jobless. I hope i can resume work as soon as possible because i'm going to be real broke soon at the rate i am spending now.

If you are reading this page (you know who you are) please take some time to think it through about what i am going to say.

Why can't you think for yourself?
When i say think for yourself, i really mean THINK for yourself and it means to forget about stuffs that other people said. People who are not involved in this matter at all, their comments and things they say may not be true. And it seems like whatever they've said really do affect us and you seem to believe them blindly.
Can you wake up and be more truthful and start asking yourself???
I do not like the idea of someone who's totally not related to this problem to come in between us.
I really do hope we can be friends because i believe you can be a great friend.
And i want a friend who don't look at me with a negative point of view or hide something in your mind doubting if I'm someone you can trust.
Why is it now that i am the total bad guy and everything seems to be my fault and i am the only one to blame?
Just because some people said some stuffs to you about me and you choose to believe it?
You know what it feels like for me now? It's miserable because I'm not given a chance to explain myself and all the blame falls on me. You may not understand it at all or you simply can't be bothered because to you, "It's all over so it doesn't matter anymore"
You think so? but i don't seriously.

I really do hope you can think through this carefully.

screw HOME club's staff seriously screw you guys.
Thanks for spoiling my weekend with your rude and ill customer service. It's the worse customer service i've ever experienced so far.
We paid for the godamn beer to get such ill treatment from you guys? The beer was flat and they refused to replace it. Despite that fact, the bar in-charge came out and gave us attitude and insists that the beer was fine by giving us all the reasons to refuse replacing it. You know what??? THREE CHEERS FOR YOUR FUCKING SERVICE. Let's be fair, the floor servers are pretty polite except for one of them, but for the "so called" captain and the bar in-charge, you guys simply suck i swear. I seriously doubt your ability and capability as an "in-charge" totally.
HOME club is such a wonderful place with great music and atmosphere but thanks to the staff they've hired as "in-charge", it's a SHAME. It's no wonder why HOME club is losing their crowd. Thanks to you guys.

NAFA sucks

I'm seriously beginning to dread school now. This should not have happened at all because i just started school not long ago.
It's assessment period now and I'm bombed with a truckload of assignments which i don't think i can finish all in time with good quality. The one which I'm most worried about is the assignment for DRAWING 1. I can't draw at all and this time I'm in serious shit because the assignment requires me to produce a charcoal based drawing on a A2 size paper and a complicated theme which i have to work on. Other than drawing i still have to complete 5 sculpture along with a A2 size presentation board and all these sculpture will take a really long time to finish. For design process, i need to produce a clock design along with a presentation on a big sheet of mahjong paper with all the resources i've gathered. To add on i still have a couple of essays i've yet to write because i have not visited all the exhibitions i need to.
I really hope i can finish all my work without much troubles and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Assessment dates are 11, 12 & 13 November and it's round the corner. With less than a month i really need to get things done.

Played with colorful lighting style and art direction.
I really learnt a lot today about lighting and i hope i get more shoot related to fashion.

Farewell to "The Days" in the cinema.

It's hard to face the fact that "The Days" will no longer be screening in the cinemas as of 11th October 2008.
I've watched the film for 18 times in the cinema and each time i watch the movie i relive those days during shoot.
And i get reminded about what happened behind the camera during each scene.
The entire process is something that will always remain in my heart. I miss those days during production.
"The Days" was screening in the cinemas from 11th September to 11th October a full one month run.
Although it's only for a month but our film achieved quite a bit for a first time film maker.

I sincerely thank those who've watched the film in the cinemas especially to those who've watched it more than once.
For those who didn't had the chance to catch it due to busy schedule, The DVD will be released in November or December so hope you guys will show support by buying it.

"The Days" GALA PREMIERE @ GV VIVOCITY

3rd September 2008 was the biggest day of my life so far.

"The Days" Movie held it's GALA PREMIERE at Golden Village VivoCity finally after a long wait.

Everyone had a chance to walk the red carpet with pride including me.
This is the day we've all been waiting for and it's finally here.

The happiness and pride in me now is something indescribable.

There's only one thing left in all our mind. GOOD BOX OFFICE!!!

Dreadlocks My Dream

School just started not too long ago and the workload is beginning to build up like hell.
there's just too many assignments and too little time to complete them in time.
it's going to drive me crazy if i'm going to try and finish them all in a week's time.
I seriously need to get my self discipline back, i've lost it after a 7 months break.

The never ending school work

The school work seems like it's never going to end.
More and more, week by week and the time given to complete each assignment are getting shorter and shorter.
It's pure craziness. But i guess this is what i am supposed to do in school.

I'm turning into a Moo Moo Cow. I'm having rashes which isn't red spotted but patches similar to Moo Moo Cow pattern all over my body and it's bloody itchy. The patches looks like those itchy swelling which occurs right after a mosquito sting.

Good news people!!!
